PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
While attending South Texas College of Law, Margaret Pollard worked full time for Reynolds, White, Allen & Cook as a Legal Assistant. Upon being licensed to practice law in 1976, she joined the firm of William H. White & Associates. The firm changed its name to White & Pollard in 1995. In 2000, Ms. Pollard joined Sullins, Johnston, Rohrbach & Magers. For 33 years, the emphasis of Ms. Pollard’s practice was representing landowners in eminent domain litigation. She tried condemnation cases in Harris, Fort Bend, Dallas, Liberty, Grimes, Brazoria, Montgomery and Travis Counties and represented landowners and condemning authorities in numerous mediations and appeals through the Supreme Court of Texas. Ms. Pollard’s practice also included ad valorem tax protests and litigation, commercial and consumer litigation (both plaintiff and defendant) and civil appeals. She was a featured speaker on eminent domain in many seminars sponsored by the Harris County Attorney’s office and the State Bar of Texas. Ms. Pollard was rated “AV Preeminent” and was named to the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers for the 2011 inaugural year.
